Opintojakson tavoitteet
This online course provides you with the basic knowledge of spoken Finnish. You will learn the main differences between written and spoken Finnish and get a lot of practice in producing spoken variant of Finnish yourself.¿There are 3 modules to be completed in given order. The material consists of tutorials (online meeting once a week), audio and video material, independent exercises (both written and oral), assignments (grade: pass/fail, and written or oral feedback) and a test (interview in spoken Finnish). The main goal of this online course is to encourage you to use more Finnish in your everyday life. The goal is also to help you to understand and use spoken variant of Finnish, used mainly in Capital Region of Finland.

This course is aimed at non-native Finnish speakers who study in a Finnish UAS and have finished at least 6 credits of Finnish language studies with good grades in UAS or university.

Opetusmenetelmät
This is a virtual course. Studying requires independent online studies (using Moodle platform and Teams or Zoom in our online meetings). There will be self-study material, learning videos and audios, online exercises, assignments and an online exam. You need access to the internet, a web camera and a microphone. Notice that this implementation includes only the spoken variant used in the capital region of Finland.
Students’ performance is graded on the following scale: Pass / Fail.
Active self-study and regular learning-assignments (including assessment of one’s own learning and feedback).

Enrolment time in the course will be announced at the end of August. Students of Centria UAS must enroll in the course in Peppi.
