Centria's SAP development work in good standing – Wärtsilä is the latest partner in the project


Centria University of Applied Sciences has signed a cooperation agreement with the Wärtsilä Oyj concerning its SAP development. The development work is based on the SAP Next-Gen Lab environment located at Centria, which serves the students enrolled in the new Business Management, Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) degree programme.
- The first SAP Next-Gen Lab located in Northern Europe was opened last December last year, it provides a fruitful partnership concept for business cooperation. Our most recent cooperation agreements with Wärtsilä and Fujitsu offer excellent opportunities for various projects within in our degree programme, explains senior lecturer Janne Peltoniemi.

Wärtsilä and Fujitsu, which are evolving in different sectors, can offer a wide range of cooperation interfaces, which at best may lead to our students’ employment in these companies through theses, projects, presentations and participation in R & D activities.
- We are very grateful for the companies’ interest in Centria's ERP and SAP-focused degree programme, and we are ready and motivated to deepen our even further. We are working shortly on developing similar concepts with local companies, tells Peltoniemi.

In the framework of this SAP development, Wärtsilä Oyj will deliver its SAP data for students to analyze within the Next-Gen Lab teaching environment.
